Where we work

Ethiopian Muslims Relief and Development Association (EMRDA) has implemented different projects in 8 regional states and 80 Woredas of the country (Amhara, Afar, Oromia,Tigray, Harare, Dire Dawa, SNNPR and Addis Ababa) of the country

The geographical coverage, the priorities are given based on the following major points

  • Regions where the resident or the community are in desperate need of our intervention
  • Rural segments of target regions
  • Pastoralist and agro-pastoralist regions;
  • Areas with poor infrastructure;
  • Urban with slam and unaddressed development issues;
  • Relatively remote areas(from the capital city and from infrastructure)

Targeted Community; EMRDA priorities the following community members

  • Poor and illiterate women living in marginalized areas of the country
  • Orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) and OVC guardians, children who were denied access to basic need of life and children belonging to destitute families
  • Unemployed youth with potential of changing their lives
  • People living with HIV/AIDS and affected by its impact;
  • Community members in the marginal areas that experience socio economic problems
