EMRDA is on process to construct 12 modern ABE centers
Ethiopian Muslims Relief and Development Association (EMRDA) is one of the indigenous NGOs with exemplary development experiences in Ethiopia. It is currently implementing diverse development programs in different parts of the country. Some of its major areas of intervention include Alternative Basic Education, Women Empowerment, SRH, HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support, OVC Care and Support, Youth Vocational Training and Food Security programs. Its experience in designing and implementing projects to address the needs of large number of marginalized Community in the country has been remarkable.
EMRDA has demonstrated a high capability in programmatic and financial management and has developed a smooth working relationship with all its partners including government, international and national NGOs, and with communities at grass root level as well.
Currently, it is in a process with the support of Islamic Development Bank (IDB), to expand ABE programs in Afar Regional states to construct 12 modern ABE Centers with $586,000 USD so that access to basic education to large number of out of school children will be addressed.
